Events

School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Book Week

Book Week is a special time at Mitchells Island Public School, where we come together to celebrate a love of reading and storytelling.
Parents and family members are invited to join the students in celebration at our book week parade that helps to spark imagination, promote literacy, and build a strong reading culture across our school community.

School Assemblies

Every two weeks, school assemblies are held where students have the opportunity to show their work to family and friends. It’s also a time to celebrate everyone’s hard work and achievements in class and during extracurricular activities.
Check out our school events calendar for assembly dates.

Harmony Day Celebrations

Mitchells Island Public School proudly embraces the diverse cultural backgrounds of our students and their families. We are committed to inclusivity and a strong sense of belonging, which is reflected in our daily practices and whole-school events.

Harmony Day in March is a key celebration, bringing our school community together to share culture, promote respect, and build unity through food, music, and meaningful connections.
